June 4th: Why does God Sometimes Seem Hidden?
Dr. Derek King
If God is real, why doesn’t he just show himself? If God loves me, why doesn’t he make himself easier to know? He’s the creator of the universe, but if you aren’t paying attention, he can be easy to miss.
These are big questions, and on June 4 at the Mirror Twin Brewery Annex, Dr. Derek King is going to help us find some answers.
July 2nd: Did the Miracles of the Bible Actually Happen?
Dr. Craig Keener
Did the Miracles of the Bible actually happen? And do they still happen?
All through scripture, God demonstrates his power with miracles, and Jesus proves that his kingdom has come with signs and wonders. Which begs the question, why don’t we still see miracles? Have they stopped? Did they ever really happen in the first place? Is God just phoning it in these days?
Join us on July 2 as Dr. Craig Keener guides us in exploring the world of miracles, both ancient and modern.
August 6th: A Catholic and an Orthodox Priest Walk into a Bar...
Fr. Rob Adams and Fr. Justin Patterson
Catholics and Orthodox have had a lot of disagreements over the years. Should the filioque be included in the Nicene Creed? Is the Pope the head of the global Church? How long should a priest’s beard actually be?
We won’t get through all of them but join us on August 6as we have an open dialogue between a Catholic and an Orthodox priest, discussing our differences and celebrating what we share.
