Rooted in our shared identity as disciples of Jesus Christ, the Communications Office of the Diocese of Lexington exists to faithfully proclaim the Gospel and reflect the life of the Church in all that we do. Guided by Sacred Scripture and the teachings of the Catholic Church, we are committed to sharing the Good News and fostering a deeper connection among God’s people across our diocese.
Communication is a vital ministry of evangelization. Through thoughtful storytelling, clear messaging, and creative outreach, our office serves as a bridge between the Diocese, its parishes, ministries, clergy, and the broader community. We strive to ensure that the mission, values, and voice of the Church are communicated with clarity, integrity, and hope.
One of the primary ways we share this message is through our diocesan publications. Cross Roads, our parish magazine, highlights the faith, ministries, and lived experiences of Catholics throughout the Diocese of Lexington, offering inspiration, formation, and a sense of unity among our parishes. In addition, El Peregrino, our Spanish-language periodical, serves our Hispanic community by providing culturally relevant content that supports faith formation, encourages participation in parish life, and strengthens our shared journey as pilgrims of faith.
Beyond our publications, the Communications Office provides a wide range of services on behalf of the Diocese of Lexington. These services support parishes, diocesan offices, and ministries in effectively sharing information, engaging audiences, and responding to the needs of both internal and external communications. Whether promoting events, supporting evangelization efforts, working with media, or helping ensure consistent diocesan messaging, our goal is to communicate in ways that reflect Christ’s love and truth.

Above all, our mission is to help tell the story of the Church in Central and Eastern Kentucky — a story of faith, service, compassion, and community. By using modern communication tools while remaining grounded in the timeless message of the Gospel, the Communications Office seeks to invite all people to encounter Christ, grow in faith, and walk together as members of the Body of Christ.
