Kentucky experienced severe storms over the weekend, causing catastrophic flooding across several counties and prompting Governor Andy Beshear to declare a state of emergency. Much of the damage occurred in southeastern Kentucky, within the 50 counties covered by the Catholic Diocese of Lexington.

Catholic Charities of Lexington is assisting with disaster relief through emergency assistance, and will stay involved throughout long-term recovery efforts. We are collaborating with Kentucky Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) to assess the needs of those affected. To help meet these urgent needs, we are accepting monetary donations online at catholiccharitieslexington.org or by mail at 1310 W. Main St., Lexington, KY 40508.
