More than 100 people received health screenings, medical advice, and other helpful information Sunday, August 17, at a Health Fair at the Centro San Juan Diego in Lexington.
There were opportunities for vision, hearing, blood pressure and diabetes testing. Some attendees scheduled mammograms and other cancer screenings. Parents brought their children for basic health exams. Interpreters were on hand to facilitate effective communication.
Thanks to the Centro staff and volunteers, especially Dot Bennett, for organizing such a great day that will mean better health for so many people.
