Appalachian Immersion Pilgrimage

Appalachian Immersion Pilgrimages start on Sunday afternoon and go through Wednesday morning. Pilgrims meet at and use The Dwelling Place Monastery in Martin, Ky., as a “home base.” Registration cost is $350 for the three-day pilgrimage, $250 for two days. Both include lodging, meals and transportation upon arrival. Pilgrims will meet people of Applachia who will tell of their lived experience in the mountains as they face the consequences of climate change. The pilgrimage will include time for reflection and discussion.
The Appalachian Immersion Experience is about “receiving” wisdom not taking, possessing, controlling or manipulating the experience. At the end of the experience, you will examine…
