Men's communities

Men’s religious life is a response to Christ’s invitation to “come, follow me” (Matthew 19:21). In a world often marked by noise and distraction, religious communities offer a place of deep prayer, intentional brotherhood, and dedicated service. Whether in the quiet of a monastery, the outreach of a missionary order, or the active ministry of a teaching or healthcare apostolate, men who embrace this vocation commit their lives to God through the evangelical counsels—poverty, chastity, and obedience. Life in community is both a challenge and a gift, where brothers support one another in holiness and share in the mission entrusted to them by their founder and the Church.

If you’re feeling drawn to something deeper, even if you’re unsure what it is, you’re not alone. Many have started their journey with a simple restlessness or longing to give their lives more fully to God. This path is not for the perfect but for the willing—those who are open to being shaped by God’s grace and called into a deeper communion with Him. As you explore this vocation, take time to pray, ask questions, and meet the men who live this life with joy and conviction. Let your heart be open to Christ, who still calls today: “Come and see” (John 1:39).

Heralds of Good News | The specific aim of the Society is the promotion of vocations to priesthood, the training of seminarians and the supply of zealous and hardworking missionaries to the dioceses in India and abroad which experience a shortage of priests due to the lack of local vocations.

Missionaries of Compassion | The specific scope of the institute is the work of compassion and charity – bringing solace and comfort to the destitute orphans, to the abandoned elderly and persons who are affected with terminal diseases and the houseless.

Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary | The first goal of the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts is to toil to make known to all people the most ardent love of the Sacred Hearts for us, and to kindle this holy and divine love in the hearts of all humanity.

Priestly Fraternity of St . Peter | Using the ancient liturgy as our well-spring, we form our priests in the traditions of the Church to serve at the altar and in the parish so that the fullness of Christ might enter the emptiness of the world.

Midwest Augustinians | The Augustinians of the Midwest are members of the Order of Saint Augustine, an international Catholic religious community that was juridically founded in 1244. We trace our spiritual roots to St. Augustine of Hippo, a fifth century Bishop and Doctor of the Church.  The influential Rule of St. Augustine sets down his ideals for community life and serves as our guide. We serve as priests, religious brothers, missionaries, chaplains, teachers, campus ministers, health care workers, administrators and more, depending on our talents and calling.

Piarist Fathers | We are a Religious Order founded in the 17th century by St. Joseph Calasanz (1557-1648) and dedicated to evangelize through education the children and preferably poor, therefore we profess a special fourth vow.

Fathers of Mercy | The Fathers of Mercy is a Roman Catholic Congregation of Priests whose primary Apostolate is preaching parish missions and retreats, with an emphasis on the Sacraments of the Holy Eucharist and Confession.
