The Women’s Choir sings a variety of music including gospel, chant, polyphony, contemporary, and Baroque. They sing for parish penance services, concerts, community events, parish programs and occasional Mass preludes. They also perform a nursing home ministry. The group is made up of women of all ages, including college students, professional women, and those who have retired. The group sings single to four part music and recently sang a world premiere of a work for women’s choir and harp. The women’s choir rehearses on Monday evenings from 8:15 to 9:30 PM and one hour before service opportunities.The women’s choir is under the direction of parish Director of Music Ministry, Mary Weber Bane, and Music Ministry Assistant Marlene Wilson, and accompanied by Dr. Richard Domek, University of Kentucky professor emeritus.
