SUMMARY:Saint Mary Magdalene
DESCRIPTION:Mary Magdalene came from Magdala\, a fishing town on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. The Gospels identify her as a disciple of Jesus from whom seven demons had gone out\, and she appears among the women who supported Jesus’ ministry and remained near him at the Crucifixion. Unlike later legends\, the New Testament presents her primarily as a healed\, faithful disciple. \nIn John 20\, Mary Magdalene becomes the first witness to the risen Christ and is sent to announce the Resurrection to the apostles. For this reason\, she has long been called “apostle to the apostles\,” and Pope Francis raised her liturgical celebration to a feast in 2016. Her feast proclaims the dignity of discipleship\, the power of mercy\, and the mission entrusted to those who seek Christ with love. \nPrayer: Saint Mary Magdalene\, apostle to the apostles\, help us recognize the risen Lord and proclaim him with joy. Amen.

SUMMARY:Saint Bridget
DESCRIPTION:Bridget of Sweden was born around 1303 into a noble Swedish family. She married Ulf Gudmarsson\, raised eight children\, served in the royal court\, and became known for charity and deep prayer. After her husband’s death\, she embraced a more penitential life and experienced mystical revelations during a turbulent century marked by war\, plague\, and the Avignon Papacy. \nBridget founded the Order of the Most Holy Savior\, commonly called the Bridgettines\, and spent her later years in Rome urging reform and calling Church leaders to conversion. She died in 1373 and was canonized in 1391. Her life shows that sanctity can pass through marriage\, motherhood\, widowhood\, pilgrimage\, reform\, and prophetic witness. \nPrayer: Saint Bridget\, pray that we may follow Christ faithfully through every season and calling of life. Amen.

SUMMARY:Saint James\, Apostle
DESCRIPTION:James\, son of Zebedee and brother of John\, was a fisherman from Galilee called by Jesus near the Sea of Galilee. Along with Peter and John\, he belonged to the inner circle that witnessed moments such as the Transfiguration and the agony in Gethsemane. His mother’s request for honor in Matthew 20 reveals the apostles’ need to learn that glory in Christ comes through service and suffering. \nActs 12 records that James was killed by order of King Herod Agrippa I\, probably around 44 A.D.\, making him the first of the apostles to be martyred. Later tradition connected him with Spain and the pilgrimage shrine of Santiago de Compostela\, one of medieval Europe’s great pilgrimage destinations. His feast reminds us that apostolic zeal is measured not by ambition\, but by self-giving witness. \nPrayer: Saint James the Apostle\, help us follow Christ with courage\, serve humbly\, and witness faithfully. Amen.
