SUMMARY:Palm Sunday
DESCRIPTION:Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem\, just days before His Passion and death. As He approached the city\, riding humbly on a donkey\, the crowds spread cloaks and palm branches on the road before Him\, shouting with joy\, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Mark 11:9). This moment fulfilled the prophecy of Zechariah: “Behold\, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he\, humble and riding on a donkey” (Zechariah 9:9). The people welcomed Him as a king\, yet His kingdom was not one of earthly power\, but of sacrificial love. \nThe liturgy of Palm Sunday holds both triumph and sorrow together. The celebration begins with palms and praise\, but the Gospel soon turns to the reading of the Passion\, recalling Christ’s suffering and crucifixion. The same crowds who cried “Hosanna” would later shout\, “Crucify him!” (Mark 15:13). In this\, the Church invites the faithful to reflect on the mystery of human weakness and divine mercy. Jesus enters Jerusalem knowing the cross awaits Him\, yet He proceeds willingly\, embracing the Father’s will for the salvation of the world. \nPalm Sunday reminds believers that true kingship is revealed through humility and self-giving love. As the faithful carry blessed palms in procession\, they not only remember Christ’s entry into Jerusalem but also welcome Him anew into their own hearts\, preparing to walk with Him through the solemn days of His Passion\, death\, and Resurrection. \nPrayer:Lord Jesus\, You entered Jerusalem in humility and peace\, accepting the path of suffering for our salvation. As we wave our palms and proclaim You as King\, help us to follow You not only in moments of joy\, but also along the way of the Cross. Strengthen our faith\, deepen our love\, and lead us through the sorrow of Holy Week to the glory of Your Resurrection. Amen.

SUMMARY:The Annunciation of the Lord
DESCRIPTION:The Annunciation of the Lord commemorates the moment when the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a young virgin named Mary in the town of Nazareth. As recorded in the Gospel of Luke\, the angel greeted her with the words\, “Hail\, full of grace\,” and announced that she had been chosen to bear a son who would be called Jesus\, the Son of the Most High. Though troubled at first and unsure how this could be\, since she had not known man\, Mary listened with faith as Gabriel explained that the Holy Spirit would come upon her and that nothing would be impossible for God. \nIn a profound act of humility and trust\, Mary gave her consent\, saying\, “Behold\, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.” At that moment\, Christians believe\, the eternal Son of God took on human flesh in her womb. The Annunciation marks the mystery of the Incarnation — God becoming man — and stands as one of the most significant events in salvation history. \nCelebrated nine months before Christmas\, on March 25\, this feast honors not only Christ’s conception but also Mary’s faithful “yes” to God’s plan. The Church looks to her response as a model of obedience\, courage\, and trust\, reminding the faithful that God’s greatest works often begin in quiet surrender to His will.
