SUMMARY:Screening of The Seeds of Peace
DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, October 20\, 7:15\, the Diocese of Lexington is sponsoring  a screening of  “The Seeds of Peace” at the Kentucky Theatre. The film tells the story of Hideko Tamura Snider\, a survivor of the Hiroshima atomic bombing who later settled in Oregon. Through her Seeds of Peace initiative\, seedlings propagated from trees that survived the Hiroshima bombing have been planted in communities across Oregon as symbols of hope\, resilience\, and peace. We are exploring the possibility of bringing one of these seedlings to Lexington and hope our city can become a “Seeds of Peace” community.  \nFilm Trailer: https://vimeo.com/863444561?fl=pl&fe=sh
