Saint Francis School offers both preschool and elementary education. Our preschool accepts potty trained children ages 3 and 4. Our elementary school accepts students K through 4th grade.

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School will admit students of any race, sex, religion, nationality or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities. St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School will not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, nationality or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarships, loans, athletic programs or any other school administered program. The parent or legal guardian must register all students and provide the necessary forms/documentation.
All new students enrolled at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School will be on probation in order to determine if the school can meet the student’s educational needs. Reasonable accommodations will be made to assist each student to ensure academic success, but finances may prevent St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School from providing special services that some students may require. Many public school special education programs are required by law and funded only in public schools. If for any reason St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School cannot provide the needed instruction or if the student does not adhere to school policies, the school administrator in consultation with the Diocese of Lexington will notify the parent or guardian that the student must immediately withdraw. Any student enrolling at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School who is transferring from a non-accredited school or a home school may be required to take tests to determine where the student should be placed or to determine class credit.
In accordance with Kentucky state law, children reaching the age of five on or before October 31st of the current school year shall be eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Any student, who is six on or before October 1st, must be enrolled in school according to KY law. Kentucky School Law requires successful completion of kindergarten before entering first grade. Proof of attendance and a report card/progress report from a certified kindergarten is necessary when enrolling a student in first grade. Students enrolling in first grade must be at least six years old on or before October 1st of the current school year.

A parent is employed at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School
A sibling is presently enrolled in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School
A parent is a graduate of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School
