"Sharing Our Story" is a small group faith sharing booklet written by Fr. Paul Prabell in collaboration with a team from around the diocese. Designed to take place over six weeks, the three- component structure of each week includes scripture/faith-sharing, a description and summary of one of the six deaneries, and a description of a particular focus of the diocese as a whole. Each session opens and closes with prayer, and includes discussion questions for each of the three components. It is a wonderful way for small groups to form themselves as a group, as a deanery, and as a diocese! Our recommendation to begin is for Lent 2013, but the books are available now, so that groups may use them in the fall or the spring. A Timeline for Planning and Preparation is included. Contact Rod Stearn (email@example.com) at the Catholic Center for information.
The Commemorative Book of the History of the Diocese of Lexington has been published and parishes should receive the books already ordered in time for Christmas gift-giving. Contact Tom Shaughnessy (firstname.lastname@example.org) at the Catholic Center for more information.
Another publication of great interest and available in time for Christmas is the Priests' Cookbook, "Fathers in the Kitchen", a compilation of loved dishes that are specialties of our priests! Some parishes have ordered these already also. Contact Greta Hernandez (email@example.com) at the Catholic Center for more information.
