CCHD Internship Application

CCHD Internship Available for Summer 2013
 
 
The Diocese of Lexington is looking for a young person (18-30) who is an active Catholic and who would like to serve as an intern for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD), the Catholic Church's domestic anti-poverty program.

Intern will work out of the Catholic Center in Lexington to promote the activities of CCHD, with particular emphasis on its Poverty Awareness Program.  Duties will include maintaining social media sites that promote the work of the diocesan Office of Peace and Justice, working with CCHD-funded groups, interacting with parish social ministry groups, and preparing materials in advance of the CCHD collection

Good communication skills required, as well as flexibility to travel outside the greater Lexington area. 

The intern must attend a New Employee Orientation on either May 7 or May 21, 2013, at the Catholic Center in Lexington. The intern must also attend CCHD Intern Training in Washington DC from May 29-31, 2013.  Travel expenses to the Washington DC training are covered by the internship program; travel to and living expenses in Lexington are the responsibility of the intern.

 
Duration:  35-39 hours per week,
Intern will receive $12 per hour stipend.
